I remember a time when I was so focussed on what I didn’t have, that I severely missed out on what could have been some of the most joyous moments of my life 🥺
I remember thinking if only I had more of this, and less of that, THEN I could be happy…
What a waste of time!
Instead of leaning into all of the beautiful things I had in my life, I continued to seek outside of myself…. That elusive thing that would make me “happy”…
And guess what??!
I NEVER found it!
Well not out “there” anyway….
But as soon as I started to turn inwards, and to focus my attention and emotions on all of the gifts in my life,
That’s when life got fun!!
When I focussed on the love in my life, the support, the generosity of people I came across - friends and strangers…
When I connected to my own internal resources, my playful, cheeky, witty sense of humour, I started to have more FUN!!
When I tuned into how much I am living in alignment with my purpose, and practicing in a field that lights up my soul, oooffftt 🥹🥹
Soooo much love in my heart ❤️
We’ve all heard the cliches including how happiness is found within…. But it’s because it’s the truth!!
And the more you can generate these feelings within, the more of them you attract ✨
In order to connect more deeply to gratitude, for about 9-months I set an alarm to go off every single day ⏰
And when it did, I spent about 30-seconds really tuning in to the things I was grateful for 🙏🏽
Sometimes it was an act of kindness, sometimes it was a quality within myself, sometimes it was a feeling that I experienced, sometimes it was a person in my life…
After a while, it simply became more of my natural state.
