Failure is the point where you give up, not when there's room for improvement!
For months and months after I had recorded the content for my online program, I couldn’t watch myself. I couldn’t bear to see myself in action and deal with potential shame, self-criticism, self-judgement, and focussing on how it could’ve been better.
I knew that I would judge myself, rather than acknowledge how far I’d come and what it actually took for me to create and deliver such a transformational program (if I do say so myself lol)
I was in fear of seeing myself;
“What if”;
🖤 it doesn’t make sense
🖤 it’s confusing
🖤 it doesn’t offer enough value
🖤 I sound silly
🖤 it’s too basic
🖤 it’s not basic enough
Aarrggghhhh!!! And this from someone who lives and breaths personal growth, conscious awareness, mindset shifts, self-compassion, worthiness, and the deepest levels of self-love…
And I knew that I put my heart and soul into my programs and so if it wasn’t good enough, my mind told me that “I” wasn’t good enough.
I mean, if you go all in and fail, what does that tell you right…..?!?
WRONG!!!!
Life is a journey and we get to keep chipping away at our goals and dreams. We get to learn and grow through our experiences….
Continuing what works for us and tweaking what doesn’t.
So if you’re one of those people who expects perfection first go, or doesn’t try for fear of failure,
This is your reminder to meet yourself where you’re at! And to give yourself room to grow and improve. To learn and tweak as you need…
This is not a text: success or fail.
You get as many shots at the hoop as you like!
So offer yourself the space to mess-up, sound or look silly, lean on others, learn as you go.
But whatever you do, START and keep moving!!
You will be amazed at what you can do when you allow yourself the freedom to navigate life, with less criticism and more self-compassion and encouragement!
